This week the Chancellor announced another change to the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme, which is likely to be welcomed by many employers and employees – it will be extended from the end of March 2021 to the end of April 2021, with employees continuing to be paid 80% of wages subject to the cap.
Employers should bear in mind that claims for furlough days in December 2020 must be made by 14 January 2021, and that claims can no longer be submitted for claim periods ending on or before 31 October 2020. As employers, if you have any queries about the furlough scheme, please contact us.
