I have recently written a couple of posts about the various different types of grant funding and debt funding available to start-up and early stage companies and I was planning to do a follow-up post on all of the issues surrounding equity funding.
However, over the past few months I have been involved in the work of the Technical Committee of the British Business Angels Association and this week they have just launched their new “Be An Angel”website. This is a complete manual of best practice for business angel investing. Anyone interested in early stage investment, either looking for investment or for investment opportunities should review this website which provides a comprehensive online resource and should answer all of the questions you want to ask – as well as many you may not have thought of asking!
I should also commend an excellent book by Simon Acland called Angels, Dragons and Vultures. It should be essential background reading for anyone interested in early stage investment, either as a prospective investor or as an investee company.
If you do have any questions that are not answered from the above, I would, as always, be pleased to answer any questions that you might have.
