MBM has implemented a policy to prevent the spread of Coronavirus among our staff and clients.
Our offices in London and Edinburgh are now closed until further notice. Please note that we are very much still open for business and operating with all members of staff working from home.
If you wish to deliver a document to us then we suggest that you scan it and then email it to the relevant person at our office who you are dealing with. Please also note that all correspondence that would normally go to our offices is being re-directed to appropriate members of the team to deal with. If you are concerned about delivering a particular item or document to us or concerned as to whether or not we have received an item or document from a third party, then please contact us at either London: firstname.lastname@example.org or Edinburgh: email@example.com.
While normal mail and document exchange correspondence is reaching us, until further notice we are unable to accept service of court documents or correspondence which may relate to any legal proceeding which would normally be sent by post, document exchange or by fax. We will accept service of documents electronically, and these should be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org Documents served electronically will only be deemed to have been served once you receive an acknowledgement email from us confirming receipt. If you have sent any communications to us by post, document exchange or fax in the last four days (March 23 - 26), we would be grateful if you would send a further electronic copy, either to the email address noted above or to the relevant member of staff.
Face-to-face client meetings will not go ahead until further notice and we are using Zoom and other telecoms to keep in touch with clients, contacts and staff. Please note that we are still completing transactions for clients and using DocuSign to facilitate this.
All conferences, workshops and seminars that we host are postponed until further notice. Staff members will not be attending third party events in person but are more than happy to join virtual meet-ups.
As you would expect we have detailed business continuity protocols in place and will aim to continue servicing our clients with minimum disruption during this period. Our staff are working from home using our secure cloud-based systems and many of them are well used to doing this. However during these difficult times, while many staff members also have children at home and other challenges to deal with, we do please ask that you bear with us because we are experiencing very high levels of demand in certain business areas. We will respond to you as quickly as we can and will do our best to meet any timescales provided, but we cannot provide any guarantees. If at any time your day to day contact at the firm is absent due to illness then you can expect an out of office message to direct you to another member of the team. If this does not happen for any reason then please send an email to email@example.com and a member of the team will get back to you within one working day.
We've created a Coronavirus hub on our website where we will be providing legal updates as things unfold.
