As part of the firm’s charitable giving this year, MBM Commercial are raising funds for the Samaritans. They have themed their fundraising efforts around 24 hours as the Samaritans are there 24 hours a day.
As fundraising targets have been met, employees of the firm have completed a number of challenges including 24-mile cycles, writing 24 blogs, 2400m of climbing by bike, 24 mile runs, and sewing 24 facemasks, a target which was quickly surpassed and now stand at almost 100 mask sewn. However, one of the more novel challenges is about to take place this weekend.
Having reached 100% of the firm’s fundraising goal, Senior Partner Stuart Hendry will be watching 24 episodes of the TV series 24 in a 24-hour period, whilst doing 24 push-ups on the 24th minute of every hour.
“I was feeling rather gung-ho when I came up with idea”, noted Stuart, “But I am a man of my word, so this weekend I will be ready to go, though I can’t promise my fitness levels will match those of Jack Bauer!”
Members of Stuart’s family will be capturing segments of the event on video, though sadly it will not be live-streamed. The firm plans to post a montage of the challenge to their fundraising page https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/mbm-commercial.
