Here at MBM Commercial our values are at the core of our business. Very often, we find our clients are like-minded and they share a similar ethos. So we're not surprised to see those values shining through from our clients in the current climate.
When colleagues Zara Diloo and Rachel Miele were chatting, Zara found out that some front line workers Rachel knew couldn't get the hand sanitiser needed. Zara swung into action. She knew our client Muckle Brig had switched from gin production to bottling and labeling hand sanitiser as part of their community effort to fight Covid-19 in support of frontline workers.
So, a few calls were made to connect folks and, within a couple of hours, front line workers in Leith and Haddington police stations had their hands on a box of "Leithal Sanitiser" from the team at Port Leith Distillery. That's Connecting People for the better.
We reckon that's also Being Awesome!
In addition, Isle of Bute Gin are also Making It Happen in Bute by manufacturing hand sanitiser and distributing to the local community of the island.
If you are concerned that all these distilleries switching to hand sanitiser will limit your access to gin, fear not. Another of our clients, the Edinburgh-based start-up Drinkly, is still delivering beer, wines and spirits to your door in under an hour. But remember #DrinkResponsibly, because that's Doing the Right Thing!
And finally, hats off to Schop who are delivering local and sustainable produce in the Edinburgh area. It's a great way to support small, independent retailers and producers who could really use our support at this time - not to mention the products are delicious. Driving Excellence to your door.
In the coming weeks, MBM staff will be helping to support mental health charities who are dealing with more demand for their resources in the COVID-19 climate. Stay tuned.
