Lynne is an Associate at MBM Commercial LLP. She is Head of Lender Services within the firm’s Dispute Resolution Team. Lynne obtained a BA from the University of Stirling and qualified as a solicitor in 1996 after passing the Law Society of Scotland’s professional examinations and Diploma in Legal Practice at the University of Edinburgh.
Lynne has worked with MBM since its formation in 2005, having worked previously with Murray Beith Murray. She has considerable experience in provision of services to institutional lenders in residential and commercial mortgage repossession cases, having acted for one lender client for 25 years. Her work for lenders also includes pursuing negligence claims against former professional advisers such as solicitors and surveyors and shortfall loss recovery. She has secured substantial settlement sums for lenders.
As Head of Lender Services, Lynne is in charge of delivering a first class service to the firm’s lender clients and ensuring that advice is of the highest quality and compliant with FCA regulations. She also provides training to lenders on current statutory obligations.
In addition, Lynne also handles general debt recovery work for a variety of clients, including companies and individuals, both in the Sheriff Court and Court of Session.
