Strathberry, the Scottish luxury handbag brand favoured by royalty and celebrities alike, has announced an £8m investment from BGF to support future expansion.
MBM Commercial’s Corporate team, led by Kenny Mumford, advised on the legal aspects of the transaction.
The business was founded in 2013 by husband-and-wife team, Guy and Leeanne Hundleby. The brand quickly gained a following thanks to their exceptional quality and strong designs, with their bags and accessories seen on the likes of the Duchess of Cambridge and Lady Gaga.
The funding will be used to expand the company’s product categories as well as global growth and e-commerce profiles.
“It’s been an incredible ride from 2013 to where we are now,” noted Guy and Leeanne. “Having the team at MBM Commercial guide us through this investment has been invaluable. We always felt that they had our interests at the forefront and were always available to us throughout.”
Kenny Mumford, Head of Corporate at MBM Commercial, said “The team at Strathberry were a pleasure to work with from start to finish. We wish them continued success in the next phase of their growth.”
Strathberry is an Edinburgh based luxury label founded in 2013. They create leather goods, handcrafted in Spain by the finest artisans, using high quality materials. Strathberry products are defined by clean lines and a signature bar closure.
