Tel 0131 226 8200 - DD 0131 226 8236
Sarah graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2014, during which time she developed a keen interest in IP and contract law, both of which she studied to Honours level.
She completed her two year traineeship at international commercial law firm, DLA Piper, in Edinburgh. Sarah trained in the projects, corporate and real estate departments, working on a large number of corporate and commercial deals, many of which were cross-border in nature and for a diverse client base.
During the final six months of her traineeship, Sarah was chosen to undertake a secondment to Heineken UK, where she assisted the in-house legal team and gained experience in reviewing, drafting and advising stakeholders on a wide range of IP and other commercial contracts.
Sarah joined MBM Commercial in August 2016 as a newly qualified solicitor in the Intellectual Property & Commercial Contracts team. Since joining, she has been involved in advising clients on the commercial and legal points of a broad variety of commercial contracts, including IP, technology, procurement and supply agreements.
Sarah enjoys assisting clients in navigating the often confusing world of IP as their businesses grow from small start-ups to large companies.
Outside of work, Sarah enjoys playing badminton (when not travelling the world on holiday!) and captains the woman’s team for her local club, Tartan. She also loves playing netball and is a proud member of her team, Goal Diggers!
